一谈到努力做某事,很多同学只能想到try to do sth那么除了try to do sth,我们还可以用哪些表达呢?
1. strive to do sth
Many people strive to strike a good balance between work and life, but few of them achieve it.
Over the past few decades, the world, especially East Asia, has seen a stunning rise in the rate of short-sightedness. And a growing body of evidence has suggested that the main underlying reason for this is the fact that children spend large parts of the day indoors. Therefore, to prevent more children from suffering from myopia, parents and schools should strive to encourage them to engage in outdoor activities more frequently.
2. make an effort to do sth / make efforts to do sth
比如:
Though several fast-fashion companies have made efforts to curb their impact on labor and the environment — including H&M, with its green Conscious Collection line — Cline believes lasting change can only be effected by the customer.
1)make a great effort to do sth
It has made a great effort to make ad blockers easy for users to install, for example.
2)make concerted efforts to do sth / take concerted action to do sth

He also calls on the whole country to unite and make concerted efforts to face the challenges brought by the outbreak.
我们也可以说engage in a concerted effort to do sth,比如《纽约时报》一篇关于埃博拉病毒的文章有这样一句话:
After all, they themselves engaged in a concerted effort to politically weaponize the 2014 Ebola outbreak against Barack Obama, whose response was in reality smart and effective.
The richer countries of the world should make concerted efforts to / take concerted action to help the poorer countries.

No effort should be spared to do sth.
