方法一：首尾呼应，形成闭环

①结合2017年高考真题分析：讲述的是作者与健忘妈妈一块去旅游的故事。
文章开头：I had an interesting childhood . It was filled with surprise and amusements , all because of my mother -- loving , sweet , yet absent - minded and forgetful .我有一个有趣的童年，充满了惊喜和娱乐，都是因为我的母亲——有爱，却心不在焉，健忘。
结尾：Despite mom ' s being absent - minded and forgetful , she was still a kind and nice mom .尽管妈妈总是心不在焉，健忘，但她仍然是一个和蔼可亲的妈妈。

结尾时候回到文章的开头再次重申妈妈的性格，深化主题，首尾呼应。

② 2020年高考I卷真题：妈妈和孩子们一起想办法帮助另外一个贫穷的家庭
The Meredith family lived in a small community. As the economy was in decline , some people in the town had lost their jobs . Many of their families were struggling to make ends meet . People were trying to help each other meet the challenges .
麦迪斯一家住在一个小社区。由于经济衰退，镇上的许多人都失业了。许多家庭都在艰难维持生计。人们也在努力帮助彼此迎接这次的挑战。
Bernard business worked out quite well . The smile on his face was as brilliant as the sun on a spring day . He also decided to do what he could to help those in need.

结尾呼应了文章开头的那句人们都在相互帮助渡过难关，再次凸显了人们在困难时应相互帮助的主题。

方法二：名言美句，增添文采

名言或是小说经典语句结尾能增添文采，凝炼主题，深化主旨，引出结论并抒发感情，渲染氛围，感染力强。平时就要善于积累，真正领悟名言的含义。切记不可生搬硬套，一定要紧扣文章主题，这样才能起到画龙点睛的作用。

例如：①Just as the saying goes ," God helps those who help themselves." Now I couldn’t agree more with those words .
正如谚语所说，“自助者天助。”现在我完全同意这句话。
②There were six pence all over the ground,but he looked up and saw the moon.
满地都是六便士，但是他却抬头看见了月亮。———《月亮与六便士》
这句是源自毛姆的经典小说《月亮与六便士》，六便士指的是现实，月亮则代表理想。这句话可以用在追求理想的题材中。

方法三：适当评论，升华情感

每一个故事的创作不止为了讲清楚一件事情的来龙去脉，还要包含作者想要表达的深意，想与读者分享的感悟，这种思想往往贯穿全文，并在故事结尾时得到升华，在读后续写的结尾部分可以采用情感升华的方式，让读者产生情感上的共鸣，激发读者思考。

情感升华的结尾要求，要有较高的立意，它是故事的灵魂所在，这样的结尾能够产生强烈的艺术感染力，通常我们可以通过表现人生感悟、生活真谛、生活哲理、人生观或价值观来达到结尾部分的情感升华。

例如：①Not only did he keep in mind the help of Meredith ' s family , but he also did whatever he could to help those in need .他不仅把麦迪斯家人的帮助记在心里了，他也尽他所能去帮助其他有需要的人。
②It was Mom that made my childhood colorful . And it was also she that showed me the true meaning of giving .是妈妈让我的童年多彩绚丽。也是妈妈向我展示了“给与”的真正意义。

这两个例句都点名了文章主题，源于故事但高于故事，向我们传递了文章所要表达的积的人生观和价值观。

方法四：提升美感，画面定格

为了深化主题，提高文章的画面感，在结尾时可以通过动作、神态等细节描写或精心描绘具有特殊寓意的场景进行画面定格，给读者留下美好的印象。

例如：①In the meanwhile , the wolf might feel the people ' s threats around , so it began to step back slowly . Soon , it ran away off the road and disappeared in the distance .
同时，狼可能感受到了人们对它的威胁，所以它开始慢慢后退。很快，它就离开道路，消失在远处。
该句用动作链定格了了狼知难而退的画面，在结尾处留白，给了读者更多思考的空间。

②They hugged each other tightly , the warm sunlight shining on them and the birds singing in the sky .
他们紧紧地拥抱着彼此，温暖的阳光洒在他们身上，鸟儿在天空中叫着。
